The Good Guide | Walks In Istanbul
I organize and lead the most impressive series of walks in Istanbul, my hometown.
I believe that a private guided walk is an excellent way to get to know the city if it is organized well.
I am a self-employed professional tour guide with an official license — the sort of guide who is reliable, knowledgeable and conscientious but also fun and manages to be informative without being boring.
In my walks, there’s never a set itinerary until we tailor it together according to your preferences-It’s all private and yours.
My experience lies in classical and cultural tours and it allows you to reach deep into the Turkish culture and history in a more relaxing way.
With my expertise of 14 years, I tailor walking itineraries in the city–All are very flexible and always offer the best of the real world to you.
Istanbul is not perhaps the easiest city to stroll for first time visitors who speak no Turkish and have no conception of its scale.
It requires a bit of skill to see the mosques, palaces and museums conveniently since neither their opening times are consistent nor their locations congruent.
Once within, it would be quite possible to waste a lot of time in aimless traipsing. These places are not on the whole self explanatory;it is not obvious what went on where. It is not clear either where to eat, or what to eat.
Hours could be wasted by the uninitiated trying to discover what goes from where and when and when it might return.
